These walks are free and provided by Glendale Countryside Services for Mid Sussex District Council with the kind help of walk leaders who are volunteers.

Walk levels

  • Level 1:  30 minutes on paved paths. No stiles.
  • Level 2:  30 minutes - 1hr (1.5 - 2.5 miles) some un-surfaced paths. No stiles,
    hills will be encountered.
  • Level 3:  1 - 1.5hrs (max. 3.5 miles) on un-surfaced paths. Some stiles and hills.
  • Level 4:  1.5 - 2hrs (max. 5 miles). Stiles and hills.
  • Level 5:  2 - 3hrs (max. 7 miles). Stiles, steep hills, faster pace.

The walks will:

  • Help you get fitter
  • Show you new areas of the beautiful Mid Sussex countryside
  • Help you to meet other like-minded people in a safe and supportive environment

How do I get walking?

You need to register your details to be able to attend the healthy walks. You only need to do this once before you walk with our scheme.   Registration Details
